Let's Do The Time Warp Again!

So...er...happy 2009? December was a serious blur in my rear view mirror! I didn't even put up a tree this year; it was that fast. So, let me recap the good moments and maybe a few surprises from the last six weeks...

Thanksgiving: Awesome. By far the best thanksgiving I've ever had. Usually H and I go to his family's house, who have put something together at the last minute. This year we were invited to RMF's for the day. It was amazing. The atmosphere was great and much fun was had.
HUF: HUF quit her job, which is a good thing, because it was sucking her soul a little. She needed some drastic change. The unfortunate thing is that she quit right before the economy officially went down the tube. So now she's having a really hard time finding another job. Which leads to me not seeing her as much. Suck.
Christmas: Spent with H's family. His cousin brought her 10 day old daughter to the gathering and I got to hold her for a while. On the up side, the pressure to have babies from H's mother and aunts was minimal. The down side? Holding a cute sleeping infant sparked absolutely zero desire to have children of my own. Oh, and I did not get a present from H's parents. I wonder if they are trying to tell me something...but H's gift rocked! He got tickets to Phantom of the Opera for TOT, HF and myself!
New Year's: H and I kept the tradition of spending New Year's with AF and MMAF. It was fun, but poor AF threw her back out during a bout of food poisoning, so she's not very mobile these days. She does have a nifty handicapped parking permit though!
Hockey game: H, HF and I went to a hockey game in December. The Avs didn't win, but we had a great time! Hockey happens to be my sport of choice, so I never have a bad time at a game.
TOT: After dating a total loser, TOT met a new guy on New Year's and they have been inseparable ever since. He's all she talks about. It sounds like she finally found a winner! Anyone who can make her all gushy and girly (and more importantly happy) like he does sounds like a keeper. She's just starting the 'honeymoon phase', which I told her to enjoy because it's one of the best times and you never get that back. No really, it's true; studies show that in the first six months of a relationship your stress levels are elevated, causing heightened emotions.
Anniversary: Yep, H and I have officially been married for five years. Five years. It feels like our wedding was yesterday. It has been so much fun, I can't wait to see what the next five years are like!
Bally's: Yeah, I joined another gym. But this one has a lot more classes available for my schedule. And I want to drop a few pounds before the scifi convention in April. My costume this year is badass. More to come on that later...
Upcoming awesomeness: Next week H and I are going to Breckenridge for a little belated anniversary celebration. We are going to learn to ski...which makes me a little nervous. But we have a few days up there to figure it out. Then RMF is having a marathon at her house. What are we watching? Season one of Chuck. If you haven't seen Chuck, you are missing out. Then TOT, HF and I have tickets to the Avs vs. Anaheim game on the 31st. January is looking pretty damn good so far!
This list doesn't even cover all the things I've had going on lately! Sheesh!

I promise to update more. The picture I've posted today is me in some rockin' ski goggles...I shall be a sexy ski bunny...Oh, and my New Year's resolution? Learn to like Soy Milk.
